Zahide Hernandez

Mrs. Zahide Hernandez, age 74, of Hickman, KY passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026 at her residence.

She was born on May 26, 1952, in Havana, Cuba to Enrique Hernandez and Zahide Elisa Garcia Antigua.

Zahide was of the Catholic faith and was a self-employed contractor. She moved to this area about a year ago from Sarasota, FL.

She is survived by her partner, Ron Yelko of Hickman, KY, two children; Dany Bryant Hernandez of Hickman, KY and Zachelle McCarthy of Texas, a granddaughter Akasha Esther Bryant of Hickman, KY, eight sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman with burial to follow in the Water Valley Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman from 12Noon Thursday until the hour of service.
