Tom McDaniel

Mr. Thomas Earl "Tom" McDaniel, age 102 1/2, a resident of Oviedo, FL, and formerly of Fulton, KY passed away on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, in Oviedo, FL. Tom was born on January 19, 1923, in Shafner, TN, to the late Henry Claude McDaniel and Fannie Hommel McDaniel. Tom was the owner and operator of the former Tom's Pic Pac in Riceville, KY, and was known for his wonderful personality not only while running his store, but during his later years delivering pizzas with a smile and a kind word to the homes around the Twin Cities. 

Tom was one of only sixty-six thousand WWII veterans remaining out of the sixteen million who wore the uniform. During his time in WWII, Tom was stationed in Italy where he earned the American Service Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge with one Bronze Cluster, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with one silver star and two bronze stars. 

Tom is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth McDaniel, and later by his second wife, Wanda McDaniel, two sons, Keith McDaniel and Benny McDaniel, a daughter, Joy McDaniel, and one granddaughter, Brandi Parker.

Tom leaves behind to cherish his life, two stepdaughters, Jeanie Johnson and Vicki Parker, two stepsons, Randy Parker and Ronald Smith, two grandchildren, Peyton McDaniel and Lauren McDaniel Moore, six step grandchildren, Mike Watts, Lana Watts, Jeanine Watts, Elizebeth Harris, Josh Parker and Jane Parker, three great grandchildren, Karson, Krimson, and Kameron. 

Tom was loved by so many people that he met and cherished during his long life, and will be deeply missed by his family.

Graveside services for Mr. Tom McDaniel will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 18th, at the Obion County Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home, and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
