Stephen Henry

Stephen C. Henry, age 62, of South Fulton, TN, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at his residence. He was born on December 19, 1962 in Memphis, TN, to James Vester (J.V.) and Jean Wall Henry.

Stephen was a member of the East End United Methodist Church in Nashville. He was a 1981 graduate of South Fulton High School and a1986 graduate of David Lipscomb University. Stephen was a beloved elementary and middle school teacher in the Nashville area. He served in leadership on the MNEA and NEA boards and was passionate about his work with Arts In Action and Camp Horizon. He was also very active in the theater community in Nashville and was a member of Nashville in Harmony. After retiring, he moved back to South Fulton to be a caregiver for his parents.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Wall Henry, two sisters, Sharon (Bill) Perring of Guthrie, OK, and Dianne (Kerry) Roberts of Springfield, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Vester (J.V.) Henry.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2025 at Calvary United Methodist Church (Green Hills) in Nashville, TN.
