Mrs. Rosie Lawan “Wannie” Speight, age 89, of Fulton, KY, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Lifecare Nursing Facility in Centerville, TN.
She was born on August 18, 1936, in Fulton, KY, to the late Claude Walton Rozzell and Eula B. Nicholas Rozzell. Mrs. Speight was a member of Good Springs Church and previously attended Walnut Grove. She retired as a social worker for the State of Kentucky and was a lifelong resident of the Fulton community.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanna Speight (Joe) Damons of Dickson, TN, and her granddaughter, Kayla Riannon (Robert) Damons of Brentwood, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph “Billy Joe” Speight, and her siblings: Claudine Chedester, Montez Grant, B. Rozzell, and Bo Rozzell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Lawan “Wannie” Speight will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in our funeral chapel, with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
