Robert Woods

Mr. Robert Woods, 80, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tennessee.

He was born on December 31, 1945, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, to the late Alfred Woods and Nona Henderson Woods.

Robert retired from the City of Hickman Public Works after many years of dedicated service. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving to the Number 8 Island Boat Ramp to watch the barges along the river and spending time watching classic western films.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances Duck Woods, whom he married on May 7, 1966; one daughter, Melanie (Sam) Hartman of Hickman, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Leslie Woods of Hickman, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Tyler (Jamie) Hartman of Hickman, Kentucky, Samantha (Shamari) Suttle of Fulton, Kentucky, Haley (Jonas Lee) Hartman of Fulton, Kentucky, and Hunter Woods of Hickman, Kentucky; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Sue Woods of Michigan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robby Woods; two sisters; and seven brothers.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held at the funeral home.
