Peggy June O'Connor

Mrs. Peggy June O’Connor, age 89, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born on February 5, 1936, in Fulton County, Kentucky, to the late Frank Burgess and L.B. Everett Burgess Clark.

Peggy was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and dedicated her life to caring for her family as a domestic engineer. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and, most of all, spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by three daughters: Judy (Thomas) Freeze of Hickman, KY; Frankye (Mike) Williams of Hickman, KY; and Charlotte (Troy) Livingston of Union City, TN; one son, Truman Leo “Bubba” O’Connor, Jr of Hickman, KY; twelve grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and twenty-four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Truman “Leo” O’Connor, Sr; a daughter, Betty Breedlove; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Haney and Bryan Rouse.

A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Peggy O’Connor will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Hickman City Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of Mass.
