Paul Edward Werner, Sr

Mr. Paul Edward Werner, Sr., age 86, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born on May 19, 1939, in Hickman, Kentucky, to the late Joseph Anthony Werner and Myra Mignone Williams Werner.

Mr. Werner was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tennessee. He was also a member of the VFW in Union City and the American Legion in Martin, Tennessee. He was also a private pilot. Mr. Werner spent the majority of his life in Hickman and Union City.

He is survived by his children: Paula Mitchell (Jeff) of Union City, Tennessee; Paul E. Werner, Jr. of Texas; and Cecilia M. Werner of Springfield, Tennessee; as well as two stepchildren: Jill Coffey of Hickman, Kentucky, and Ginger Atkins. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one step-grandchild, and one step-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Werner; one grandchild; one brother; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman with burial to follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12Noon Thursday until the hour of service.
