Patsy S Wilkerson

Mrs. Patsy S. Wilkerson, age 92, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her residence in Dresden, TN. She was born to the late Adron J. Nipp and Martha Elizabeth George Nipp on August 9, 1932 in Craighead Co, AR.

Patsy and her late husband, Earl Wilkerson along with their children returned to the area from Chicago in 1972. Hospitality and a big heart will be remembered when thoughts turn to Patsy. She was known for her delicious banana bread and famous Halloween treat bags she handed out to all those who came to her door.

Patsy previously attended South Fulton Baptist Church and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Latham, TN. She also worked at the former Henry I Siegel (HIS) Garment Company and for the Weakley County Office of Aging in Dresden, TN. Proficient in the written word; composing her thoughts in journals was her favorite past time, along with sending cards celebrating special life events, birthdays and anniversaries to family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Debra Utley of Jackson, TN; twin sons, Mark Taylor Wilkerson and Dr. Michael Earl (Melisa) Wilkerson of Dresden, TN and Jill Crocker of Germantown, TN; five grandchildren, Karla Weedman(George) Moore of Jacksonville, NC, Kenneth Earl (Billie Faye) Weedman of Dresden, TN, Davis Welch Crocker of Memphis, TN, Daniel Patrick Crocker of Memphis, TN and Richli Taylor Wilkerson of Murray, KY, four great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends, one sister; Eva Hazelwood of Pompano Beach, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl who passed away in 1987 and her friend Luther Miller in 2018, four brothers and six sisters.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Patsy S. Wilkerson will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Latham, TN. Visitation will be held at 1:00PM until the hour of service.
