Michael Milner of Fulton, Kentucky, passed away at home on Thursday, December 11, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1954, and was the son of Billy and Doris Milner.

At four months of age, he contracted polio; and although it shaped his life, it did not define it. He graduated from South Fulton High School in 1972 and from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1975. He was a CPA with Arthur Anderson Accounting Firm in Memphis, Tennessee for four years and entered into private practice when he and his wife, Gigi, returned home to Fulton in 1979. With a desire to become a part-time collegiate professor he earned a Master's in Accounting and taught at Mid-Continent University and Paducah Community College.

In 1984 he was offered the position of CFO with Stanley Jones Mechanical Contractors, and for the next 22 years he served in this position. Following its closure, he began work with Dippin' Dots Ice Cream Company in Paducah, Kentucky, heading its Accounting Department and rising to the position of Vice President of Finance. After 13 years of service he retired, leaving the corporate accounting world he had enjoyed amidst kind words about his tireless professionalism and dedication and being described as a faithful example of what true leadership should be.

He was a man of great faith who exemplified the meaning of trusting God. He loved his church family and used his God-given gifts of wisdom, selflessness, and discernment and abilities in public speaking, teaching, and problem solving to address the needs of the church as a Deacon, Finance Committee Member, Personnel Committee Member, Team Kid Leader, and Sunday School Teacher.

He led his family well, as a loving Husband to Gigi for 48 years and a wonderful father to Sarah Michael (Chris) Henry of Denver, Colorado and Susannah (Jay) Day of Caseyville, Illinois. He was so grateful for the gift of being Gran D to Parker, Miles, Elliott, and Anna-all of Denver, Colorado and to Olivia and Michael- of Caseyville, Illinois. He cherished time with them and was always eager to hear from them and to participate in their lives.

Not only was he loved and respected by his family, he was admired by those with whom he served in the Lions Club, Fulton Independent PTO, and Gideons International. When his name was mentioned, you often heard descriptors such as faithful, generous, kind, humble, wise, and man of integrity.

He enjoyed all sports, especially if the SEC was involved and was a loyal Tennessee Volunteers fan. Golf and fishing were great pleasures for him, and he never turned down an invitation to play cards or board games.

He was preceded in death by his parents and has a living sibling, Robin Bradshaw of Paducah, Kentucky.

His life was a picture of trusting the Lord's provision and being content in all things, and he was a blessing to all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m., December 20, 2025, with Pastor Stephen Cavness officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery on Highway 307 outside of Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1140, Fulton, Kentucky 42041 or to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1325, Fulton, KY 42041 for the purchase of Gideon Bibles.
