Kenneth Maxwell

James Kenneth Maxwell, age 81, of Fulton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on March 16, 1944, in Fulton County, KY to the late James R.D. Maxwell and Margaret Meadows Maxwell. He was also preceded in death by his beloved sister, Patricia Maxwell Veatch.

Kenneth retired after 34 years from the former General Tire, where he worked in the final finish department. He lived all of his life in this area.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jamie Archey Maxwell, to whom he married November 15, 1963. He leaves behind two children: James Richard Maxwell of Memphis, TN and Renea Maxwell Schwartz (Jason) of Clinton, KY. His grandchildren: Jordan Casey Maxwell (Chandni), Ashley Gargus Jones (William), Kelsey Renee Gargus, Kimberly Schwartz Elks (Austin), and his bonus grandson Avery Dale Courtney. Kenneth took great joy in his role as a great-grandfather to Lucy Gargus, Lainey Jones, Hattie Jones, Maisy Gargus, and Freya Elks. 

His family was his pride and joy, and his memory will live on through each of them. He will be remembered for his strength, unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact he had on all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the legacy he leaves behind will be cherished forever.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM Saturday, August 16, 2025, in our funeral chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10AM Saturday, August 16, 2025, until the hour of service.
