Katie McMinn

Mrs. Sandra "Katie" McMinn, 79, of the Ruthville Community, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Born on November 24, 1946, in Union City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Cashion and Ruth Mason Morrison.

Katie was a faithful member of McConnell Baptist Church. She dedicated many years of service as a secretary for the Weakley County Farm Bureau and was also employed by the former Stoker's Tobacco Company in Dresden, Tennessee. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, a hobby that reflected her creativity and love for others.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Allison) McMinn of Martin, Tennessee; her daughter, Michelle (Keven) Bruner of Martin, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Grace (Brant) Luker of Lexington, Tennessee, Emma Bruner of Martin, Tennessee, Sarah Kate McMinn of Washington, D.C., Sam McMinn of Martin, Tennessee, and Sophia McMinn of Martin, Tennessee; her sister, Debbie (Mike) Moss of Martin, Tennessee; and her aunt, Jo Williams of Pittsburg, Texas.

In addition to her parents and her stepfather, Dean Morrison, Katie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy McMinn, and her brother, Ronnie Cashion.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katie McMinn will be held at 1PM Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Sandy Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Wednesday until the hour of service.
