Karen H. Gatewood

Ms. Karen H. Gatewood, age 63, of South Fulton, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the home of her sister.

She was born on September 20, 1962, in Fulton, KY, to the late Genie Joe Hickman and Maurine Messick Hickman.

Karen was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed pressure-washing homes and patios, and was a dedicated pool player who also loved swimming.

She is survived by five grandchildren: Colton James Gatewood of Martin, TN; Kaitlyn Marie Gatewood, also known as Lucas Rivers, of Huntingdon, TN; and Kambria Gatewood, Charleigh Gatewood, and Khloe Gatewood, all of St. John, MI. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Nova Elizabeth Jean Gatewood of Martin, TN. Additional survivors include two sisters, Donna Leigh Capra and Linda J. Capra, both of South Fulton, TN, and two brothers, Richard Michael Capra of Florida and Robert William Hickman of Martin, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lynn Gatewood, and two brothers, Timothy Capra and Mark Capra.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
