Judith Kay (Moore) Jones affectionally known as Judy, age 82, passed away on October 13, 2025, at home in Loudon, Tennessee, after a brief bought with cancer. Born on April 9, 1943, in Paducah, Kentucky, Judy lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and community.

Judy graduated from Fulton High School in 1961 and married the love of her life, John C. Jones, on July 28, 1962. Judy earned two bachelor's degrees in English and Home Economics from Murray State College in 1965. After one year of teaching, Judy chose to dedicate herself fully to raising her family - a role she embraced with unwavering love and energy. This year they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary—a testament to their shared life of love and family.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband John C. Jones, Sr., and their four children: Kym (R.K.) Kane of Lenoir City, TN; Johnny (Michaela) Jones of Lyles, TN; Christy (Tim) McCord of Lenoir City, TN; and Millie (Scott) Stubblefield of Nashville, TN. Affectionately known as Mimi to her eleven grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Kyle and Mildred Nall Moore, as well as her sister Joyce Ann Moore.

A devoted mother, Judy was deeply involved in the lives of her children. She served actively in the South Fulton P.T.O. as well as room mother and scout leader for both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Her days were often filled with transporting her children to piano lessons, dance classes, sports events and church youth events —always present and always supportive. She and her husband loved to travel and visited numerous foreign countries as well as most of the United States. In addition to her commitment at home, Judy later pursued love of fashion by opening The Daisy dress shop in South Fulton, Tennessee. She operated the boutique until selling it in 1984.

Judy was also an active member in her community. She was a member of the D.A.R., played in several bridge groups, loved gathering with friends and playing cards. She was an amazing hostess for social get-togethers and always put others before herself. Judy was always sending notes or making a meal for those in need.

Faith played a central role throughout Judy’s life. On Mother’s Day in 1967, she joined the First United Methodist Church in Fulton, Kentucky along with having her infant daughter, Kym, baptized. There she became an integral part of the church community—teaching children's Sunday School classes, participating in the United Methodist Women group, and playing a key role in the creation of the church's prayer garden and supporter of the Annie Ruth Pirtle Child Care Center

Judy’s legacy is one of steadfast love—for her family, for her faith community, and for every endeavor she undertook. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 2:00 PM at Fulton First United Methodist Church located at 200 Carr Street in Fulton, KY. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. There will be visitation with the family at the church beginning at Noon.

The family is requesting that memorials be made to her church, Fulton First United Methodist Church, FUMC Prayer Garden or to the Annie Ruth Pirtle Child Care Center in Fulton, KY, P.O. BOX 1386, Fulton, KY 42041.
