John Robert Smith

Mr. John R. "Johnny" Smith passed away quietly with friends and
family at his home on Saturday, September 30, 2006.
He was a member of the Johnson Grove Baptist Church and was a
veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He has retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City,TN after 17 years of service , as a journeyman mechanic. He had lived in this area most of his life.
He is survived by his wife - Faye (Biggs) Smith, whom he married
November 4, 1958. 2 daughters: Dianna M. Butler-Sparks of
Dukedom, TN and Marlena Hibbs of Fulton,KY; a son - Gary Hibbs
of Fulton, KY. 2 grandchildren: Christopher Robert Butler- Palmersville,
TN and Jessica Babb Taylor of Nashville, TN. 3 great grandchildren:
Angelus Butler, Gaelin Butler and Xaiden Butler, all of Palmersville,TN.
A brother - Eddie Dale Smith of Wingo, KY and 2 sisters: Pauline Kough of Jackson, TN and Shirley Elliott of Fulgham, KY
He was preceded in death by his parents-William and Virgie (Harrington)Smith, a grandchild - Heather Suzanne Babb and a brother - James Wilson Smith.
Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
