Jerry Cox

Mr. Jerry Cox, age 84, of Fulton, KY passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at The Etheridge House in Union City, TN.

He was born on October 30, 1940, in Earle, AR to the late Oscar Benton "O.B." Cox and Jimmie Francis Magness Cox.

Jerry was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran. He retired after 30 years of service from the former Ferry-Morse Seed Company in Fulton, KY where he was the Vice-President of Finance. Jerry was also a long-time member of the Fulton County Club where he enjoyed his frequent games of golf. He had a special love for his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hannah and Ryan.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Thompson Cox, to whom he married October 4, 1962, a daughter Paula (Troy) Hurdle of Oxford, MS, a son Jeff (Michelle) Cox of Collierville, TN, three grandchildren: Elizabeth Hurdle-Mills (Andrew) of Shepherdsville, KY, Hannah Hurdle and Ryan Cox both of Nashville, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Miller.

Private graveside services will be held for Mr. Jerry Cox. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30-11:30AM Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
