James Griffith

Mr. James Edward Griffith, age 88, of Hickman, KY passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Fulton Nursing and Rehab in Fulton, KY.

He was born on April 14, 1937, in Nashville, TN to the late Waymon Griffith and Hattie Modine Fife.

James was a member of the West Hickman Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. He lived all of his life in this area.

He is survived by a son Tony (Tami) Griffith of Fulton, KY, two daughters; Mary K. (Glen) Jones of Clarksville, TN and Betty Shields of Hickman, KY, five grandchildren; Tony Lynn (Ashley) Griffith of Cayce, KY, Nick (Ivy) Prather of St Mary's, OH, Nancy (Wes) Carr of Martin, TN, Bobby Dale Griffith, eight great grandchildren and two sisters.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Ethel Mae Sutton Griffith, two sons: Waymon Dale Griffith, James E. "Buster" Griffith Jr, a daughter Nancy Marie Griffith and a grandson, James Albert Griffith, nine sisters and four brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the Mt Olive Cemetery in the Crystal Community. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
