Howard Earl Hobbs, Sr

Mr. Howard Earl Hobbs, Sr., age 70, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.

He was born on December 28, 1955, in Shaw, Mississippi, to the late James William Jasper Hobbs, Sr and Bessie Flora Lee Manns Hobbs.

Howard was self-employed and took pride in performing various odd jobs. He will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he lived and the memories they shared with him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michael Crawell of Dyersburg, Tennessee; Crystal Crawell of Hickman, Kentucky; David Hobbs of Hickman, Kentucky; Mathew Hobbs of Jackson, Tennessee; Howard Hobbs, Jr., of Hickman, Kentucky; Kevin Hobbs of Camden, Tennessee; Charles Hobbs of Union City, Tennessee; Charleston Hobbs of Hickman, Kentucky; and Joshua Hobbs of Hickman, Kentucky, six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his sister, Mary Wiggins of Tiptonville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his companion Debbie Ann Weeks, three sisters and two brothers.

There will be no services held at the funeral home. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman was in charge of arrangements.
