Mr. Howard “Buster” Adams, Jr., age 72, of Fulton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born on September 17, 1953, in Oakland, Maryland, to the late Howard P. Adams and Grace Edwards Adams.
Mr. Adams was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during Vietnam. Following his military service, he was employed with the Department of the Army, Public Works in Ft. Meade, MD.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Maryann Adams, whom he married on May 29, 1976; one daughter, Heather (Dwight) Cooke of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; one son, Jeremy (Deborah Leib) Adams of Columbia, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Bradley) Tavenner of Glade Hill, Virginia, Jacob Cooke of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and Mason Howell, Micah Howell, Ruby Adams, River Adams, and Charlie Adams, all of Columbia, Maryland; and one sister, Peggy (Thomas) Miller of Eldersburg, Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Stivers.
A celebration of life will be held in his home state of Maryland in June of 2026. Details regarding the service will be announced by the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
