Hilde Mueller Gregory passed away peacefully at Stonegate Villa in Crossett, Arkansas on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born in Enzweiler, Germany on October 26, 1928. She lived in South Fulton, Tennessee most of her adult life. She was an immigrant and World War II bride from Germany and she became a US citizen. Hilde and her husband Chester owned Chester's Garage many years in South Fulton, Tennessee. She was the secretary & bookkeeper. She was a member of Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, member of the Woodside Fellowship Sunday School Class and Choir Member. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 0072, Fulton, Kentucky, President of South Fulton PTA 1967 - 1968, Deputy Director of Civil Defense in South Fulton, Tennessee.
Hilde was an excellent cook and was known for her cheese cakes and cinnamon rolls. She was an avid flower gardener, enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. She was very proud of her German heritage and all of her family. She was married to Chester Gregory 61 years. They were married on June 7, 1949 in Idar Oberstein, Germany. She has been a resident of Arkansas since 1996.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frederich Walter Mueller and Klara Mueller of Idar Oberstein, Germany. A brother Walter Mueller of Idar Oberstein, Germany. A daughter, Barbie Gregory Hardy of South Fulton, Tennessee. One infant grandson, Charles V. Stephenson Jr.
Hilde is survived by two daughters Nancy Gregory Stephenson of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Deborah Gregory Robertson (Rick) of Hamburg, Arkansas. Siblings are Lore Blickensderfer of Mott, North Dakota, Doris Craig of Westerly, Rhode Island, Freddi Mueller of Pawtucket, Connecticut; Six grandchildren, Mikaela Holland (Brandon) of Calabasas, California, Heather Paddock (Mike) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Tim Stephenson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Zachary Robertson (Summer) of Newnan, Georgia, Christopher Robertson (Christon) of Hamburg, Arkansas and Meredith Robertson Hudson (Justen) of Hamburg, Arkansas. Great grandchildren; Ebon Paddock, Ryder Robertson, Rylan Robertson, Brynna Robertson, Gunther Robertson, Sevens Robertson, Leah Hudson, Reagan Hudson, Hunter Williams, Raegan Lout. One great grandchild Jace Williams.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Kentucky. A private family viewing will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Public visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. before the service at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Paul Adams will be officiating followed by interment at Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton, Kentucky.
Pallbearers are Chris Robertson, Zach Robertson, Justen Hudson, Tim Stephenson, Ryder Robertson and Rylan Robertson.
