Dorothy Snow Mullins passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, at Van Ayer Nursing Home in Martin, Tennessee. She was 96 years old.
Dorothy was born in Grundy, Virginia, to Robert Lee Snow and Bessie Ann Childers Snow on January 21, 1930. She married Hubert Earl Mullins on January 2, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2011.
Dorothy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, Kentucky and lived most of her life in this area.
Her greatest joy was her family, and she spent many happy days surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was lovingly known as Mom, Grandmother, and Granny.
Dorothy retired from AT&T after a 20-year career. She began as a switchboard operator in Fulton, Kentucky, and later worked in the distribution and cabling department in Madisonville, Kentucky. She was an avid bridge player and, even after becoming homebound, spent many hours online enjoying her favorite hobby.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Mullins Nelms of South Fulton, Tennessee; her son, Joel Douglas (Lisa) Mullins of Henderson, Kentucky; and four grandchildren: Stephen Douglas (Audra) Kyle of Paducah, Kentucky; Kimberly Ann (Brian) Melton of Jackson, Tennessee; Brian Douglas (Amy) Mullins of Evansville, Indiana; and Joel Scott (Jamie) Mullins of Newburgh, Indiana. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Glenn Snow, and sister-in-law, Linda Snow, of South Fulton; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas R. Nelms.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Kyle, Michael Snow, Brian Mullins, Jamey Snow, Scott Mullins, Seth Jones, Christian Melton and Ben Melton. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Melton, Dan Gardner, Brandon Snow, Clayton Mullins and Hollis Mullins.
Funeral services for Dorothy Snow Mullins will be held at 1PM Monday, September 7, 2026, in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Little Obion Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Monday until the hour of service.
