Arline Coley

Mrs. Mary Arline Coley, age 83, of South Fulton, TN passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on September 6, 1941, in Ballard County, KY, to the late Arlie Viniard and Mary Louise Hughes Viniard.

Arline was a member of the Fulton First Baptist Church, where she was in the Gleaners Sunday School and the Second Milers Club. She worked for the former WFUL in Fulton, then went to work in 1964 at the Sears and Roebuck Stores in South Fulton and Union City for 28 years. Arline then started working in the banking industry, she worked at First State Bank in South Fulton then retiring in 2020 from the Citizens Bank in Union City. She also served two terms as Fulton City Commissioner. Arline was very involved with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by a son, Jeff (Kathy) Swearingen of South Fulton, TN, a daughter Karen (Andy) Whitlock of Clinton, KY, a stepson Jon Meacham of South Fulton, TN and a stepdaughter, Jan Meacham Walker of Milan, TN, three grandchildren; Lauren Swearingen of Franklin, TN, Lisa Swearingen of Dyersburg, TN and Emma Whitlock of Clinton, KY, a great grandson Conner McManis of Dyersburg, TN, two brothers; Harold Viniard of Mayfield, KY, Phillip (Audrey) Viniard of Mayfield, KY and two sisters; Shirley Workman of Fulton, KY and Nancy Kaye Higgins of Fancy Farm, KY and her companions; Toby and Camden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Meacham, her second husband Roy Coley Jr, two brothers; Charles Viniard and Carroll Rocky Viniard and a sister, Estelle Yancy.

Funeral services for Mrs. Arline Coley will be held at 1PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Ballard County. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Wednesday until the hour of service.
