He was a switch board operator for the River North Hotel in Chicago,IL and was also a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Paul A. M. E. Church in South Fulton,TN.
He is survived by 4 sisters- Relma Woods of South Fulton, TN, Perlie B. Partee of Chicago, IL, Marie (James) Warford of Union City, TN, and Bertha Mitchell of Carbondale, IL. 2 brothers Earl Johnson of Union City,TN, and Herbert Johnson, Jr. of South Fulton, TN. 1 sister-in-law-
Grace Johson of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Sammie (Thompson) and
Herbert Johnson, Sr. and a brother- Charles Johnson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday
January 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in South Fulton,TN. Friends may call at the church from 10 am Wed.
until the funeral hour.
