Mrs. Alta Lee Perry, age 95, of Union City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Magnolia Ridge Care in Union City.

She was born on January 22, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Nolan Holmes and Ozell Holmes Holtman.

Mrs. Perry was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church and dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and found great joy in sewing for family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, and servant's heart were reflected in the many handmade gifts she lovingly created for others. She spent the majority of her life in this area, where she built lasting friendships and cherished memories.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Maurice) Tidwell of Dickson, Tennessee; Carole (Joel) House of Hernando, Mississippi; and Tim (Sam) Perry of South Fulton, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Donita (Gary) Woodall of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; Jenifer (Jeremy) Bell of White Bluff, Tennessee; Courtney (Scotty) Brown of Dickson, Tennessee; Nicole (Russell) Gerbman of Tullahoma, Tennessee; Perry (Rachel) House of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Evan (Savannah) House of Memphis, Tennessee; Derek (Vetra) Perry of Dresden, Tennessee; Stephanie (Chad) Faulkner of Union City, Tennessee; Brandy (Adam) Whitten of Cayce, Kentucky; Amy (Kyle) McCord of South Fulton, Tennessee; and Andrea (John) Willett of Union City, Tennessee. She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Norma Hopwood of Benton, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and her stepfather Howard Holtman, Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Perry; her daughter, Teressa Thomas; her grandson, Garrett Perry; and her sister, Lola Murchison.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Perry will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 18, 2026 in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7PM Friday, July 17, 2026 and after 9AM Saturday until the hour of service.
